What Has Skin Free Skincare Been Up To?

Well, it's obvious that blogging hasn't been tops on my mind. We have had a few trips. Made some new products. Started a new website. I think I'll let a few of our reviewers give some Skin Free Observations and get back to you after we visit the kids in Orlando.

"I'm a thirty something married woman living in a rural area of Oregon where I own a small business but just got a new job with a bank. I love to offer my readers reviews and giveaways of products!

My skin has always been problematic. As a teenager and still as a thirty-something woman, I struggle with blemish-prone, oily skin. Trying to find products that keep blemishes at bay while, at the same time, retaining some of the moisture so that my skin doesn't feel like sandpaper is so hard for me! I've tried everything from expensive products that can only be purchased in salons to products that are very inexpensive and can be bought at your local drug store. Nothing seems to work. I fully intend to struggle with this problem for the rest of my life!

However, while I still haven't found that "miracle product" that will take away all my woes, I have found a group of products that help lessen the problems that I've experienced over the years. I was so excited to receive the lotion because I love the smell of lavender! This lotion lived up to my excitement because it smells lovely and just like I'm standing in a field of lavender. It is not at all greasy on my skin and it absorbs wonderfully. The consistency is light while still providing enough moisture so that my skin does not dry out.

My husband was thrilled with the Acai Scrub! In fact, he used it one morning after shaving and excitedly announced later that evening that his skin was still very smooth. No five o'clock shadow here! I was also happy with the scrub. It smelled wonderful without any of the perfumes that you normally have in a scrub. It felt natural on my skin and didn't leave any greasy residue after rinsing it off. The first time I used it I was a little bit freaked out because it does have a brown tint to it which I could see in the tub while rinsing but it didn't stain my tub. All in all, this was a great product that works to remove excess dry skin!

The last product we tried was the Extra Moisturizing Soap & Shampoo Bar. Both my husband and me were amazed at the way that the bar cleansed our skin with drying it out or leaving a film. I've never used a bar soap that didn't leave my skin feeling tight and dry so I was thrilled when this one cleaned without drying. I didn't try it as a shampoo bar but I bet it would do a great job at cleaning hair, too!"

It softens the rough patches but is gentle, leaving my skin clean and clear. It feels so amazing to rub this into your skin, especially your face and to wash off all the stress, dirt and grime. My skin is dry and sometimes I get mild rosacea. I love having products that are natural AND help fight the problems my skin sometimes faces due to the environment and my makeup. This is a must-have product for people of all skin types!!! The only problem that I had was that it leaked in the box when it was shipped. The leak had no affect on the product quality and was just a shipping mishap.

"I have complained many times about my dry skin issues, and have expressed my inner urge to be more Eco-friendly or even at time the need to be vegan friendly, and most of all I have expressed the desire to only use all natural products on my daughter and in my house. I am extremely picky when it comes to using beauty products, I expect the products I use to live up to a certain standard, and still be made from all natural ingredients that will not harm my skin. Last summer Skin Free sent me a few products to try and I fell in love, you can read my previous posts, here.

Skin Free recently sent me a few more products to try for the purpose of this review. I received the Whipped Tamanu Body Butter, Extra Moisturizing Soap, and the Acai Scrub for Sparkling Skin. All of which are fabulous products.

I am very picky and particular when it comes to body lotions, I have to apply some form of body lotion daily because my skin is so dry, but I hate when a lotion feels heavy and goopy on my skin. There is nothing worse than stepping outside in the 100 degree 100% humidity weather in the middle of a Texas Summer covered in a thick sticky body lotion that will not dry and leaves you feeling super icky. BTW, this is the same Butter Creme recipe as the Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Butter Creme. We just add essential or fragrance oils.

I'm the manager of a local, independent pharmacy, and I have an autoimmune disease that affects my skin and muscles. I stumbled across SkinFree almost by accident. In Feb., 2008, I had a medical emergency that necessitated a visit to the hospital ER. I was sent home with an RX that needed to be filled . Be careful what you wish for!!! I was a little bored, so I went back to work as a pharmacist. I am officially NOT bored any longer! Between the flu season and the weather and the sheer volume of prescriptions filled at my new store, I never seem to be at my home office anymore. Am resolving to post more blogs and definitely more Tweets!

My husband and I have had commercial snowplows to clear our road three separate times now and the Almanac predicts one more time in March!!! Whoa! and I was the girl who wanted more snow!!! The G-man and I decided last nite that we were going to enroll in bobsled driving school, so we could more safely drive down our road.

I began formulating Skin Free Skincare several years ago basing my formulations on the known active moeities in each natural oil included. Since most of these oils have been used for centuries, their special properties have often been taken for granted and there is not a great deal of current scientific data to back up claims of treatment for specific ailments.

I love to get emails like the following one because it gives me affirmation that I am not only offering a solidly effective product line, but it's a product line that benefits people in ways that no other line does.

This email was received today from BS who writes Silver Savings Blog:

"Good morning Julie!

I received three of the Skin Free products a few days ago - the Extra
Moisturizing Soap, Niaouli Scrub for blemish-prone skin, and the Whipped
Tamanu Butter.

I was both excited and nervous by the opportunity to try these - my daughter
and I both have hyper-sensitive skin. I can't count the number of times I
try an "all natural" or "dermatologist approved" product and wind up itchy
with hives the size of nickles. My daughter gets itchy and a pin prick rash
wherever the product would touch. I stick with the few products I know
won't cause a reaction, but I even have to be careful with those - just
because they work now, doesn't mean a "new and improved" formula will.

I am absolutely amazed by Skin Free products! I've been using all of them
for a few days now, and I don't itch! No breakout, no tingling. My skin is
clean and moisturized. I was so impressed by how good they felt, I ran a
small jar of the Whipped Tamanu Butter over to my mom - she has Dyshidrotic
eczema on her hands. She's been using this for two days now, and called
this morning to thank me - the butter is making her hands soft, and no flare
up!

A few years ago, I had to have a mole removed on my face due to infection.
This left a 1" x 1/2" scar on the right side of my face. While I can't say
it's any less noticeable, thanks to the scrub it is smooth - the horrible
raised bumpy feel is gone! I am hoping with continued use, it will be less
noticeable.

Skin Free: Facial Care for Tough Guys and Girly Girls (Guest Post by Dad-O)

Okay, so Amy was trying out this Skin Free skin care stuff and I found the three little jars in the bathroom. Long story short, my fruity butt couldn’t stop talking about how much I liked the stuff and she thought I should be the one to tell her readers about it.

Here goes.

The first thing I tried was the Niaouli Scrub for Blemish Prone Skin. I know that’s what it’s called because I’m looking at the jar, but generally refer to it as the “scratchy face stuff.” I realize that women do all sorts of crazy stuff to their bodies in the name of beauty – waxing, plucking, scraping, tweaking, shaving, curling – but guy’s aren’t used to that stuff. So when I first rubbed the scrub on my face and it felt like cold porridge mixed with broken glass, I was a little spooked. But DANG it feels good. There’s definitely a good scrub factor to it. It’s super refreshing to use and leaves your skin with sort of a moisturized, lotioned-up feel to it when you’re done. At this point, I don’t even feel awake until I get this stuff on my face.

I used the scrub for a few weeks before I spotted some other similar-looking jars next to the sink and figured that one good turn deserved another. Because apparently I’m fifteen years old and I get the occasional zit, I’m always trying different creams and stuff for spot treatment. One night I slathered on the Skin Free Green Clay Mask for Blemish Prone Skin before turning in for the night. My head had barely hit the pillow and I felt like my face was on fire. The mask was intense, probably mostly because I wasn’t expecting it. My first reaction was to run screaming to the sink like a little girl, but after being thoroughly mocked and emasculated by my adoring wife, I decided to tough it out. After a few minutes, I got use to the stuff and when I woke up and washed it off, my face felt great…refreshed.

Now honestly, I haven’t used the mask as a mask since that night. I just use it as a spot treatment for anyplace on my face that feels like it’s breaking out. That works for me, but I’ll be lots of the ladies out there would love it as one of those freaky nightly masks that the old ladies are always wearing late at night in the movies.

Last but not least, I tried the LiteMoisture Cream for Daily Use. I’m not big on stuff like this, but it leaves your skin feeling nice and if moisturizing-type-stuff floats your boat, I’ll bet you’ll love it.

Bottom line? I phase in and out of using skin care products like this, but I’m hooked on the Skin Free stuff. The ingredients are very natural and there’s a very organic feel to the whole experience. They're hypoallergenic, vegan-friendly, and cruelty free. What more could you ask?

Hi Folks,

We just returned from my first trip to beautiful Washington state. The 2009 American Association of Naturopathic Physicians held its conference in Tacoma. We woke up every morning with Mount Ranier glowing in the distance. What a beautiful site!

Made lots of wonderful new friends among the ND's and exibitors. Ate fabulous food and had a really great time. One of my new friends informed me that autistic children really need to be protected from harsh chemicals and that Skin Free products would be perfect for them.

We will be reaching out to researchers, physicians, and families who work with autistic children in hopes in helping them conquer this problem.

Glad to be home, at least for a few days! We will be going to Orlando to meet our need grandson, Ethan, next weekend. Let's hope he has been born by then.

Skin Free Skincare--Is it really Economical?

I took home a bottle of Skin Free Super Moisture Body Balm the other day and actually used it for the first time in ages! My husband has a saying: "The cobbler's children have no shoes". Go figure. I'm just non-compliant. Most health professionals are.

Anyway, I moisturized this morning and immediately got the same reaction that my client's get when using the Balm for the first time--This stuff is amazing! Honestly, I am always intrigued with the difference between the Balm and your typical lotion. Why? Let me preach for a minute:

1) The Balm is 100% natural oils and butters. NO WATER. NO ALCOHOLS. Therefore, no stinging, no chill from evaporation, just lots of moisturizing.

2)You only use about a 1/2 teaspoonful to moisturize your legs and arms and hands. That's 2.5 mls. That's a really small amount compared to how much lotion you would use to really moisturize the same area. That is, if you could really moisturize as well.

So if you pay $12.99 for 240 ml, an 8 oz bottle, how long will it last?

If you use 2.5 ml two times a day, that's 5ml. Divide that into 240 ml and you get 48days.

If you are a person with aging skin, rough skin, weathered skin, psoriasis, eczema, diabetic feet, cracked and painful hands or heels, crazy itching from renal disease, a pregnant mom with itchy stretch marks, an elderly person with really dehydrated skin, or someone who lives in extreme climates like Arizona or Alaska would it be worth it to you to spend about a quarter (25 cents) a day to find real relief for your skin?

What I find is that using Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Soap allows me to not worry about heavy duty moisturing with the Balm every day.

The nice thing about the Balm is that it is totally non-toxic. The Environmental Working Group rates it at "0" toxicity. So you get relief from your skin problems and no anxiety about about what you are using to solve them.

100% relief...Priceless!

The Review Broads are my new best friends! If your not familiar with their style, you have got to go to their blog. Zippy lives in FL and Ava lives in Utah. All three of us are in our 50's, so we had an instant comraderie. I don't usually post entire reviews on my site, but these ladies are so funny and so honest in their take on Skin Free, that I decided to borrow their chat about the products. Broad A: I am an organic girl! So when Z and I decided to review the SkinFree products I was thrilled.

Broad Z: Well, as you know I've already reviewed Skin Free on Champagne Living, so I was already excited about Skin Free as well. Unlike you A, I'm not the organic girl. I'd be first in line for Botox and fillers if I didn't think that it would HURT.

Broad A: When I first tried Firming Matrix for Face I had a small reaction. AND I don't believe that it had anything to do with the product. Z has olive skin, I have the palest Irish skin around! That's why I wear little if not anything on my face except sunblock. Julie, the owner of SkinFree (bless her heart) advised me to stop using anything but the soap and she sent out Skin Free After Shower Moisturizer Spritz and Daytime Light Moisture. I had continued to use the Correction Face Nectar and the Acai Scrub for Sparkling Face (I couldn't help it, my face felt amazing!).

Broad Z: Olive Skin?? Don't you mean over sunned, shoe-leather skin? I'm beginning to look like one of those old Miami Beach Broads (all I need is the cigarette hanging from my lips)....LOL. But you're right, I have olive Mediterranean skin, so it's TOUGH. But, I have my share of skin problems. PLUS, I'm very lazy. I live in South Florida and only put sunblock on when I go to the beach. I know, it doesn't make any sense, like the sun only hits my face when I'm sitting on the sand. Julie had sent me the Firming Matrix Cream, the Corrective Face Nectar, the Acai Scrub for Sparkling Face and the Extra Moisturizing Soap. I have to admit, that this was the first time that I've ever (in my 55 years) actually been faithful to a skin care regimine. There have been so many changes in my skin, I wish I had taken before and after pictures.

Broad A: The Face Nectar and the Acai Scrub are unbelievable. I am originally from Miami, and have had skin cancer from lying out on the beautiful beaches and now I have a quarter size brown age spot on the right side of my face. I used the Scrub once a week, and the Nectar every day and night. I have to tell you ladies, it is almost gone. Like Z I wish I had taken pictures! I certainly couldn't afford laser treatments but I am THRILLED with the results of SkinFree! My skin tone has evened out and now that I am using the Daily Moisturizer, I notice a totally different feeling to my skin. I look 5 years younger. I know this sounds crazy, but it is TRUE! I love this product, with its all natural oils and the way it just soaks into the skin. I use olive oil and eggs in my hair once a week to get that wonderful shine that I like without chemicals, and since SkinFree has not only olive oil but primrose oil, acai powder, sweet almond oils, and more, it smells a little like olive oil. I have found myself liking the smell alot even though it was a little strange at first.

Broad Z: I have to say "I told you so" A, but....I told you so. I got to use the products first and I wasn't sure that you believed me when I told you that my skin was lightening and the muddy color was evening out. My age spots (um, sun spots) are disappearing!! Julie has done amazing things with these products. I have to say though, that I had a difficult time getting over the overpowering smell of the natural oils at first. I'm sooooo used to perfumed products that I almost stopped using them. Now I've grown to LOVE the smell. Shoot girl, you look 5 years younger? UGH - you're 5 years older than me and always looked younger, now you're looking even YOUNGER?

Broad A: The Acai Scrub is delicious, delicious, delicious! Again, I have only used Lancome all my life, and never realized that there are products out there now that actually regenerate the skin, instead of just covering it up (that's what happens when you live in Utah and not Florida!).

Broad Z: See, now I had a difficult time manipulating the Acai Scrub, but I agree it's worth the extra work. For those who are thinking about buying/using it...my suggestion is to spoon it out. I used my fingers the first time and made a HUGE mess of my vanity. It wasn't the products' fault, I'm a slob and I took too big a glob of it.

Broad A: Bravo, Julie, SkinFree works! The Daytime Light Moisturizer fells like a light balm treatment. It soaks into the skin immediately and since of course it is all natural oils, there is no "aftertaste" of the usual cream moisturizers that seem to stay on top of my skin. This product not only works - but because I am one of those people who hate putting mucky stuff on my face, I LOVED the natural scents and the GLOW, and HOW my skin felt - alive for the first time in years.

Broad Z: Poo, I didn't try the moisturizer yet, but I was able to use the firming cream. It's pretty cool because you can feel the tingle and tighten as soon as you apply it.

Broad A: I know I am babbling on as Z would say, but I can't recommend this product highly enough. Julie is a joy to work with and really CARED about the first small reaction I had. She sent product out immediately to fix it. AND - the best news of all - these products are affordable if you, like me live in the Hut instead of the Mansion!

Broad Z: I'm going to have to agree with A on this, these products actually did what they claim to. Hey A, did you know that you can buy some of them at Walgreens? Of course you can buy the ENTIRE collection of Skin Free products at SkinFree.net. Oh and I expected them to be EXPENSIVE, but they're not. All of Skin Free's products are priced so that anyone can afford them (not like the expensive GOOP that I buy that never works).

Why do you insist on living in a HUT? Come down and visit me at the mansion A, but wait until winter when it's gorgeous in South Florida and COLD in SLC.

Skin Free Change in Formulations Effective Immediately

In order to continue to make the absolutely safest and most non-toxic products that we possible can, we are making the following formulation changes:

1) We will remove Sodium Borate from our Liquid Soap and any of the Scrubs that have our Liquid Soap blended in them. We initially began using this chemical to adjust the pH of our Liquid Soap, but it's toxicity rating is too high. We will just be patient and let our soap cure the old fashion way.

2) We will no longer be using Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate as a preservative.We originally chose this preservative because of it's low rating on the Environmental Working Group's database. It was rated at "1". It's rating has now increased due to possible chemical change into formaldehyde. We will now use a combination
of Polyaminopropyl Biguanide and Potassium Sorbate whenever we need to use a preservative.

Polyaminopropyl Biguanide is a gentle, paraben-free and formaldehyde-free preservative used in baby wipes and contact lens solution. Potassium Sorbate is a food grade preservative used as an anti-fungal.

We hope this makes you feel a little bit safer!

Skin Free Skincare Kid Health Tip #1: Olive Oil for Earaches

I was reading "somewhere" (sorry! need ginko!) that one of the naturopathic pediatricians recommended warmed olive oil accompanied by accu-pressure on the feet for that emergency earache that always comes late at night, on weekends, or just after the doctor's office closes.

I whole-heartly endorse this recommendation. "Sweet oil", aka, olive oil has been sold forever as a magic earache remedy. Well, I have to tell you, it's not magic and it does work and here's why:

*Earaches are caused by pressure on the very sensitive eardrum. Pressure is generally caused by congestion, earwax build-up, or an accumulation of serum or pus on the eardrum.

*Warm olive oil directly heats the eardrum, which can help relieve the pressure.

*If there is actually pus on the eardrum, you have a serious infection and the pain will most likely return. This condition requires medical attention.

*If the problem is congestion caused by a cold or allergies, the olive oil will take care of the pain until the congestion returns. The child should be receive lots of fluids orally and a dose of OTC allergy meds or antihistamines.

* Olive oil also contains a natural non-steroidal antiinflammary similar in structure to ibuprofen. This may contribute to local pain relief.

* Warmed oil may also help dissolve built-up earwax.

* The accu-pressure is a marvelous therapy if you know where the pressure points are in the feet. Even if you don't, a good foot massage is relaxing and can help get your child to sleep as the pain in the ear is relieved.

Extra recommendations:

* Warm oil by placing small container in hot water. Do not use microwave. You don't want to burn the ear. Test the temperature on your wrist before using.

* Don't buy "Sweet Oil"! Get the good stuff at your local grocery. Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is great for you inside and out. Buying a small bottle of low grade sweet oil at the pharmacy is a waste of money. It's probably old and not the quality oil that will have the NSAID moiety left in it.

* Never use cotton swabs in your child's ear to apply oil or try to clean wax. This causes a compaction of the wax against the eardrum and can cause mild hearing loss and pain.

* If you are out of Olive, but you have some Skin Free After Shower Moisture Spritz around, you can always use that. It's not pure olive oil, but it will do the trick in an emergency.

Jennifer from It's Just Simply Unique is starting a second blog called Mommy's Hangout. So she got wild and put her review on one site and the giveaway on the other. Hope ya'll can keep it straight!

Jennifer is another girly scent girl (Blue Ridge Gypsy Studio has fragranced products. She wasn't too sure she was gonna like our unscented brand until she tried it. Then the usual "ohhh that feels so good" reaction set in.

A Perfectly Honest Review from For the Love of Chaos

When Kathleen, who writes For the Love of Chaos, emailed me that she had posted "an honest review" I panicked for a split second. We had sent Kat the Skin Free Basic Four Set, which were our first four products and the ones we sell the most.

I know not everyone likes all of our products, but I don't enjoy getting negative reviews. Nobody does.

Boy, was I surprised and delighted when I went to Kat's site. She absolutely loved the products. It seems the only qualm that she had was that she really likes girly scented soaps. She was absolutely surprised to find that our unscented soap actually is unscented.

Let me warn you unsuspecting clients of many so-called unscented products. They do have fragrance in them. You see the FDA has a little loophole for people that make products that are a little, shall-we-say, stinky. They have allowed the addition of what is know in the business as a "masking fragrance". If your read the ingredients, (AND YOU SHOULD ALWAYS READ THE INGREDIENTS) you will see Masking Fragrance listed plain as day. I am am extremely allergic to most artificial fragrances and have never been able to use these products. That's one reason that I started formulating Skin Free. If our label says "unscented", that's exactly what you get.

"Today there are over 30,000 wild horses and burros that are at risk of being euthanized by the US government. But sadly, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the government agency responsible for America's wild horses, is doing just the opposite. It doesn't have to be this way.

With great research and planning, my team and I have developed a plan to create a million-acre Wild Horse Sanctuary in Nevada where these beautiful wild horses can live free and protected. The Sanctuary will return these wild horses and burros to their natural habitat, and be open to the public so families and children can come and experience the freedom and beauty of these extraordinary animals.

My plan saves American taxpayers approximately $700 million over the decade, provides sanctuary to America's wild horses and creates a new public resource for our children, what more could one ask for? Piera Jolly has a Jolly Good Time Reviewing Skin Free Skincare

Piera Jolly over at Jolly Mom was kind enough to review some of our Skin Free products for Blemish Prone Skin.

One of the realties that adult women have to face is that the acne they thought they left behind them can flare up when hormone levels shift. We all know how frustrating it is to have blemishes! Many of my clients asked me to make some acne products, but I was hesitant to do so. There were just so many acne products out there that I didn't want to add more unless they offered something better than the norm.

As an experimental chemist, cook, and painter (aren't they all basically the same?), I often get ideas about mixing up something new. Sometimes, I just take an existing idea and try to improve on it. That's how Skin Free Niaouli Scrub was born! I really liked our Sweet and Smooth Sugar Scrub, so that became the base. Then I added a really fine cosmetic grade pumice to get deep into blocked pores. Organic Niaouli essential oil offered the antiseptic moeity to fight infection. Then I blended everything together with Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Liquid Soap.

When I tried my new concoction, my face felt so velvety and clean, I just knew I had a winner! The beauty is that you have a one step product that exfoliates, washes, moisturizes and medicates your skin at the same time. I think exfoliating your skin is important for all women to prevent breakouts.

However, I would be in big trouble if I stopped making it for my clients who love it. I may even have to make a different kind of clay mask for people with extra sensitive skin. Why not? It's summertime and the living is, well, I guess "easy" isn't the most appropriate answer these days,but it's still a great time to play outside and go barefoot in the fresh grass.

Maria G. makes AWESOME videos for Skin Free Products!

What a nice gesture! Maria G. over at Maria's Space made the coolest videos of her son and our products and I think she posted them on her blog AND YouTube. I asked if we could post them too because her son is so adorable I could hug him and kiss him forever.

Basically, Maria reinforces that Skin Free Skincare products are hot! No fragrances and no harsh chemicals = No Burning and No Fear. One of the greatest things I ever here is that they can be applied to really nasty children's eczema without burning and resistance from the child.

If you don't have children or you don't have eczema, that might not mean much, but parents know that when you apply typical lotion formulations to broken skin, it Hurts! When your child is in pain, you are in pain.

I got a call last night from my friend, Joyce. Joyce rarely calls, so I knew it was important and I got right back to her. She was so excited I started chuckling. Testing Skin Free at 90 Degrees

You know when it's cold and windy and snowy outside, using moisturizers is a no brainer. Practically, any moisturizer feels good to dry, dehydrated skin. The trick is making a moisturizer that can stand up to 90 degrees Farehheit and not feel too heavy, greasy, or oily.

Dear Julie,

In January 2009 Member States of the EU voted to ban dimethyl fumurate
(DMF) from consumer products^1. DMF is an anti-fungal/biocidal agent and is
known to cause physical reactions like dermatitis or allergies. It has been
banned from the European market in consumer products as of 1 May 2009.
Member states of the EU have the responsibility to ensure that products
containing DMF are prohibited from being placed or made available on the
market; products already on the market containing more than 0.1 mg/kg will
also have to be removed from shelves and may not be sold as of 1 May 2009.

DMF is a fine white crystalline powder, which is used in consumer products
to prevent the growth of fungi and mold species. DMF is most often used in
sachets or pouches fixed inside furniture or added to footwear boxes. The
substance evaporates and impregnates the product, protecting it from
moulds. Due to this mode of action, consumers are also affected though the
evaporation of DMF through the clothes and onto the skin where it can cause
painful contact dermatitis. The symptoms of contact dermatitis include
itching, irritation, redness, and burns. Inhalation irritancy has also been
reported as has eye irritation where contact is made with the eye.A significant impact of this ban is that there is an obligation to remove
products from the market where it is known that the product, or even parts
of the product, contain more than 0.1 mg/kg DMF. High risk products are
leather shoes and furniture and those products bearing an antimould
statement. Soft toys containing DMF have also featured on the EUs rapid
alert system for dangerous consumer products^2 (RAPEX). It is important to
note that the new legislation covers all types of products and is not
simply restricted to footwear, furniture and toys.

I don't generally recommend Skin Free products for Rosacea because it's a complex disease and has a bacterial component. That being said, Cherrie B., the beauty and brains behind I'm a Hot Mom has written a great review about Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Soap and Shampoo Bar actually helping her facial issues. She also has been using the Skin Free Super Moisture Butter Creme on herself and her kids with great success.

Monday is a Holiday at Skin Free Skincare

We thought we would let you know that next Monday is a special holiday! It is my assistant, Tammy's Birthday! We take birthdays seriously at Blue Ridge Gypsy Studio!
In addition to sharing gifts, we will be taking Tammy to the new wonderful Mexican restaurant in neighboring Amherst. They make fabulous Margueritas at this place, which is the reason we decided to close shop after lunch. It will definitely be siesta time after cake.

Talk about Tammy's party brought up talk about hangover cures. As a pharmacist, I have my own special remedy that I always recommend:

Julie's Guaranteed Hangover Cure:
You need one medium bottle of Gator-Ade in your favorite flavor

2 tablets of Pepcid or famotidine (Total 40 mg)

3 tablets of Aleve or naproxen (Total 900 to 1000mg)

Take the Pepcid with the Gator-Ade.
Wait 20 minutes(preferably in a horizontal position)
Take Aleve with more Gator-Ade
Remain in horizontal position for 20 minutes while finishing Gator-Ade
